Grammarly as Automated Writing Evaluation: Its Effectiveness from EFL Students’ Perceptions

The research aimed to describe EFL students’ perceptions of the effectiveness Grammarly as an Automated Writing Evaluation (AWE). Nowadays, application is used give AWE in many writing classes. respondents were 75 students class. questionnaires and interviews explore using editing their drafts. data from calculated by percentages, interview analyzed content analysis. results show that have positive AWE. They state advantages Grammarly, such helps identify errors grammar, punctuation, spelling, word choices writing; minimize products; enhance paraphrasing skills; corrects anytime anywhere; improve vocabulary; easier find writing. Besides advantages, drawback AWE, for free version has limited features check errors; premium expensive students; cannot be accessed offline. represent impacts on automated evaluation.
